Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.

Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."

The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.

James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.

James described what animal abuse cases 2022 he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.

PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
